Doctor Who TV has Who will be Moffat’s Successor? One day, Steven Moffat is going to depart Doctor Who as the showrunner and lead writer. So who will be his successor? It’s a popular question stirring among fans. I have narrowed the list down to what I consider the six most likely candidates....

Miscellanious News...

  • Gizmodo - Matt Smith’s Trousers Appearing at Cardiff’s Doctor Who Experience This July
The entire collection of the Doctor’s outfits from the show’s beginning in 1963 to the knowingly eccentric charity shop combo Matt Smith wears today will be on show, along with whatever props the BBC didn’t burn to clear up warehouse space in the 60s and 70s....
  • Metro -Lara Pulver: I want to play Doctor Who, but only if the fans don't mind
And when asked whether she would want to play the Doctor, Lara replied: 'Yes and no. Not if it meant the end of the Doctor Who franchise, because the fans aren't keen on it'....
  • Doctor Who News Page - Queen's Birthday Honours Roundup
Actress Jean Marsh has been awarded an OBE for services to drama in the 2012 Queen's Birthday Honours List published today. She has appeared in Doctor Who three times: firstly as Joanna in The Crusade (pictured right), then as Sara Kingdom in The Daleks' Master Plan, and finally as Morgaine in Battlefield. As well as acting, Marsh - who was married to Jon Pertwee between 1955 and 1960 - also co-created the drama series Upstairs, Downstairs (in which she played Rose Buck) and The House of Eliott.....

Podcasts...
Beware most podcasts are of an adult nature and are not suitable for children.

The Untempered Schism Podcast has Episode 46 : Time and the Rani. The Untempered Schism Podcast turns it attention to Time and the Rani, which isn’t one of the better stories in the canon of Doctor Who. Featuring the sadly unimpressive passing of the Sixth Doctor and the introduction of the Seventh… but sadly not much else other than Mel demonstrating her lung capacity.

Impossible Podcasts has Doctor Who - 5.8 'The Hungry Earth'. As Moffatt redesigns his second classic monster of the series, we ask whether the new-look Silurians are really such a failure. There's also a brief discussion of POV Monstervision, the logistics of running the world's biggest deep-core drilling operation from a couple of laptops in a shed, and whether Chris Chibnall could have crammed any more Pertwee references into this story if he'd tried. All it's missing is the Whomobile!

Tid-Bits...

The Daily P.O.P. tumblr has Horrifying Tom Baker and Colin Baker puppets- New enemies for season 7?

Anglotopia.net has Doctor Who: Out of This World Cuff Links. Joanne Simmons – a British expat living in New York – runs a small boutique making bespoke silver jewelry and her latest range includes some familiar shapes to Doctor Who Fans.

Review's Roundup...

stuartreviewsstuff has The Time Monster Review (or ‘A Dodgy Story Saved By A Masterful Performance…pardon the pun’). The Master has some kind of confusing plan involving time experiments at Cambridge University to bring Kronos – one of the Titans of Greek mythology – under his power and rule the universe....

Siskoid's Blog of Geekery has Doctor Who 207: The Wheel in Space Part 2. Jamie is rescued from the "Silver Carrier" and given a tour of the Wheel by Zoe (first appearance!). Meanwhile, the Doctor sleeps....

The Daily P.O.P. has Doctor Who and The Visitation. This was the third story that the Fifth Doctor appeared in on screen, but it was actually the second to go into production. Script editor Christopher H Bidmead who had made such a strong impact in Tom Baker’s final season was ready to leave. John Nathan-Turner’s transition into the role of producer was not a smooth one and put a hefty amount of pressure on Bidmead who found himself struggling to get the scripts lined up for the 19th series which would introduce a new Doctor....
