BBC Doctor Who has The Siren: Red Alert!, at this point we know very little about the Siren - the beautiful creature that the Doctor faces in his next adventure, The Curse of the Black Spot, but with the release of these images we see that the phrase 'red for danger' was never more appropriate. We can't reveal what the Siren is up to in the pictures, but it will soon become as clear as water....
They also have Ahoy There!, what better way to watch The Curse of the Black Spot than looking like a pirate?, no eye-patch? No beard? No pirate hat? We say: no problem!, simply download our handy pirate kit (modelled here!) and follow the instructions. You'll be looking like one of Captain Avery's crew within minutes!
Big Finish has Victoria Returns, the remaining titles for the third series of Doctor Who: The Lost Stories, which comprises adventures that were originally devised for television but never made.....
- After three tales with the Fifth Doctor, Tegan and Nyssa in the Autumn (The Elite, Hexagora and The Children of Seth), the series takes a break and returns in May 2012 with three adventures with the Sixth Doctor and Peri.
- The Guardians of Prophecy by Johnny Byrne and adapted by Jonathan Morris is a sequel to the 1981 story The Keeper of Traken, in which the travellers face the evil Malador and an army of Melkurs. The guest cast includes Graham Cole (reprising his role as the Melkurs from that story), Nigel Lambert (The Leisure Hive) and Simon Williams (Remembrance of the Daleks).
- June 2012 sees the release of Meltdown by Gary Hopkins, who has adapted his original script for audio. The story is set on present day Earth and catches up with Victoria Waterfield, the Doctor’s former companion who was played by Deborah Watling in 1967/68. Guest stars include David Warwick (The Pirate Planet) and stand-up comedian and actor Miles Jupp (Rev).
- Next up is The First Sontarans by Andrew Smith, in which the Doctor and Peri meet a Sontaran attack squad on Earth in the year 1892. Dan Starkey (who plays Sontarans in the current TV series), will be showing off his old style Sontaran voice to play Fleet Marshall Jaka.
- The remaining Lost Stories in this series are narrated adventures performed by original cast members. August 2012 sees the release of the three-disc The Masters of Luxor by Anthony Coburn, adapted by Nigel Robinson. The story is performed by Carole Ann Ford and William Russell, with guest star Joseph Kloska playing the Derivitrons and The Perfect One.
- The series ends with The Rosemariners by Donald Tosh (working from his original script). Frazer Hines and Wendy Padbury narrate, with help from guest stars David Warner and Clive Wood.

So how am I claiming product placement in a BBC children's drama? Quite simply, because it's there on the most iconic item in the programme, the Tardis. Look at a picture of the doctor's time machine from many previous series and the right-hand door, the one which is used most frequently, is blank. However, with the rebuild of the Tardis for Matt Smith's 11th Doctor, the logo for St John Ambulance is clearly visible.....
