Taking a look at the confirmed information, the spoilers, and the rumors, Tom and Greg speculate what the two opening shows may hold for the Doctor and his companions -- in a season which (by some indications) may redefine how you view the show, in addition to some of the news and rumors, we pay tribute to two Doctor Who legends who have since passed away: Nicholas Courtney aka The Brigadier, and Michael Gough aka The Celestial Toymaker. Review's Roundup...

The Daily Drew has "The Green Death" - Episode Two, there's a sweetness to that approach, but I must say I find it ill-judged. A great deal of this story, at least as it relates to Jo, is about showing how much Jo has grown over the last three seasons. Indeed, we've been getting little hints of this all season long. Jo has clearly learned a lot from her association with the Doctor. I like that. I also like that the script is drawing a strong line of comparison between the Doctor and Prof. Jones....
He also has "The Green Death" - Episode Three, "we've actually got two separate but clearly related stories going on here. An unintended consequence of this new oil refining process pioneered by Global Chemicals is a waste product which is highly toxic. Global Chemicals claims that their process produces negligible waste, but that's a lie....."

Tegan (Jeffrey Scott) has Dr. Who (The Early Years) - Part 26 "Master Grant", season eight of Doctor Who opens with a few changes. Yes, the Doctor is still trapped on Earth but he's got a new enemy to fight. A Timelord who calls himself the Master arrives on Earth. His Tardis is fully operations, complete with a chameleon circuit, allowing his Tardis to blend in with the circus he has landed in. Next to the Master is his Tardis in the shape of a horse-box....

Classical Gallifrey has Serial 62: The Sea Devils, in the history of Doctor Who, very rarely will you see a story set on water. Which is understandable, considering the trickiness of filming in such conditions, and also the considerable expenses of pulling it off. I imagine producer Barry Letts saw it as something of a challenge, because he specifically wanted to set a story in such circumstances when in the midst of planning out Season 9, Jon Pertwee's third season as the Doctor...

Doc Oho's Big Finish audios reviews has Resistance written by Steve Lyons and directed by Lisa Bowerman, What is Polly’s role? That’s a lovely place for Steve Lyons to start and explore her place within the TARDIS team. She tried her best to be useful and was happy to make the tea and mop the brows of the wounded but sometimes she wonders if she had ever made a difference. They always loved stepping into a new world but it could be a bit scary. Polly lost somebody during the Second World War, her Uncle Randolph....
