Review's Roundup...

Into The Vortex has Doctor Who Insider Review, "today I received my subscriber copy of the new Doctor Who Insider Magazine. I wasn’t really expecting it until next month as the rumoured UK date was 5th May (the date the 2nd issue is released in the US) so it was a really pleasant surprise. As a regular reader of Doctor Who Magazine, I thought the magazine would be perfect… and I most definitely blown away by the quality of the publication.....

Shadowlocked has Doctor Who complete reviews: The Happiness Patrol, "I've just been scribbling a proposed story idea for the next season of Doctor Who. It goes like this: Doctor, Amy and Whassisface land on the Planet of The Top Hats And Tuxes – a doomy old planet full of misery run by the evil regime of Camos and Osbos, two perma-grinning posho androids who trundle around in top hats, bow ties and tuxedos. Anybody without a tux is mercilessly cut to shreds by Camos and Osbos. The Doctor stages a rebellion among the planet's inhabitants, and eventually they overthrow the nasty rulers by cutting off their life supplies – or draining their bank accounts dry...."

Doc Oho's Big Finish audios reviews has The Magician’s Oath written by Scott Hancock and directed by Nigel Fairs, the framing scenes are set a long time after Mike Yates was discharged from UNIT and he reminisces about times when Sir Alistair was in charge and the Doctor was their scientific advisor. He used to love working for UNIT back in the old days but is disheartened that it doesn’t even mean the same thing anymore....
He also has The Mahogany Murderers written by Andy Lane and directed by Lisa Bowerman, can you imagine anybody being better at telling a story than Henry Gordon Jago, theatrical impressionaro extraordinaire? Jago beautifully makes every scene count; he gets you so excited at the smallest of details so exciting. I love how he builds up scenes to a dramatic operatic crescendo only to be trumpeted by Litefoot! When it comes to London taverns he is something of a Dr Livingstone....
The Edwardian Adventurer has Series 5.01 – The Eleventh Hour, "so, if this is a review of The Eleventh Hour, why am I talking about Hartnell and Rose? Because The Eleventh Hour is not a good introduction due to one scene: the pre-title sequence. The TARDIS is out of control and plummeting to the Earth. This follows on from the regeneration sequence of The End of Time, and thus serves to link it directly to what came before. A new viewer will immediately want to know what is happening. How did The Doctor arrive in this situation, and, frankly, why should I care?...."

Tachyon TV has Adventures with the Wife in Space: Mission to the Unknown, after the crushing tedium of Galaxy 4, the wife and I are treated to a pithy and gritty journey into unknown territory. But is it canon? Mission to the Unknown It takes about ten minutes for Sue asks the obvious question "Where the hell is the Doctor?"....

The Daily P.O.P. has Doctor Who Big Finish- The Sirens of Time, Doctor Who started as an educational family-oriented program designed to fill a time-slot between Match of the Day and Jukebox Jury. During its 26 year-long lifespan on the airwaves, it developed into something wholly other, sometimes a national institution and at other times a cult program loved by a select few. When Doctor Who was finally canceled in 1989, its popularity had waned somewhat. A failed comeback in 1996, however, reinforced the notion that the concept had legs....
Podcast Review's...

The Doctor Who Podcast has Episode 71, The Aztecs stand even today as one of the most shining examples of Doctor Who. It is a story that fulfils Doctor Who's original mandate to educate, whilst at the same time it entertains, this story has always been a firm favourite of the DWP, and we devote our episode to talking about it.
