New Titles Revealed and Torchwood The Musical Postponed plus a Pick of the Blogs

  • New Titles Revealed, three new episode titles have been revealed by Executive Producer Steven Moffat in his Production Notes column in this months Doctor Who Magazine, occupying slots 4 and 5 of the new series will be The Time of Angels and Flesh and Stone, this two part story is written by Steven Moffat and directed by Adam Smith and sees the return of Alex Kingston as River Song, slot 6 will be filled by Vampires in Venice, this story is written by Toby Whithouse and directed by Jonny Campbell.
  • RTS award for Who Peter Documentary, the DVD documentary Who Peter has helped earn its director and writer, Chris Chapman, a Royal Television Award, the Andrea Wonfor trophy, for Best Newcomer. The 30 minute feature will form part of the Myths and Legends Box Set due to be released in the UK at the end of March.

Cadmium 2
have released Show 69: Village/Children of the Damned, kids are creepy, right? It’s all any of us can do not to shout at them, try and run them over or, at a push, shoot them. It wouldn’t have to be this way if they didn’t all look alike, have glowing eyes, manipulate us at will and stare hard at us with a superior smile whilst saying “Leave us alone” in an unnaturally macabre way.

Life, Doctor Who & Combom has Torchwood The Musical Postponed, the forthcoming Torchwood the Musical has been postponed, Jack and Gray pulled out with only two and a half weeks to go. They have been trying to recast, but have been unsuccessful so far, and have decided to wait until later in the year.

Rich's ComixBlog has The Stalker of Norfolk – 41, riding away from the ruined Abbey, Lord Dudley informs the Doctor that he is going to accompany himself as he reports these strange findings to Queen Elizabeth I.

Botcherby's has Burton Enemy Productions: Silver Planet (episode one), Silver Planet is a two part story, the first episode being about 25 minutes long. The blurb is short – The Doctor and Alan are at Avalon Station Alpha under siege from the Cybermen (if the cover picture is to be trusted). It’s good to have something fresh to check out.

nexGadget has Dalek Robot controlled by iPhone, the iPhone is a marvelous device if you know how to pull its strings, and this is where Steve from BotBuilder.co.uk steps in with a brand new Dalek Robot which is controlled via an iPhone, although an iPod touch will do nicely as well.

Blogcritics.org (blog) has DVD Review: Doctor Who - "Remembrance of the Daleks" Special Edition, through the years, science fiction has created numerable iconic images and phrases. Any sci-fi fan knows in what franchise they'll hear "resistance is futile," "may the Force be with you," or "the truth is out there." Some of these phrases are meant to invoke a sense of wonder and amazement, others convey general greetings, and still others fear.
