Two Minute Thoughts on Torchwood and a New Who Cast plus a Pick of the Blogs

BBC iPlayer (UK only) has Doctor Who - Series 2:2. Tooth and Claw, the Doctor and Rose travel back to the year 1879 and into the Scottish Highlands.

Two-minute Time Lord has 2MTL 53: Final Thoughts on Torchwood, Fandom and Choices, "title says it all. See you in a few days!" (ed: added to the pods and audio button).

Doctor Who Online
has released WhoCast episode 130, still more to be said about Torchwood apparently, more specifically, Children of Earth, its characters and their motivations (ed: added to the pods and audio button).

The Doctor Who News Page has Tennant's Hamlet comes to PBS, America's Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) has announced that the Royal Shakespeare Company's recent production of Hamlet starring David Tennant and Patrick Stewart will air in the US as part of the network's "Great Performances" series in 2010.

Radio Free Skaro - The Chronic Hysteresis
has...
  • WW1 - The Krotons 1, three words that, for years to come, will bring so much joy and hope towards Doctor Who fans that what they are about to watch just might be the most entertaining 24-and-half-minutes they'll have seen in some time, appear for the first time at the beginning of this episode: "By Robert Holmes".
  • WW2 - The Krotons 2, this episode will always hold a special place in my mind because it contains the very first glimpse if Patrick Troughton I ever had as a youngster.
  • WW3 - The Krotons 3, "I mentioned earlier how this story is the debut of esteemed writer Robert Holmes, but I've neglected to mention that this story is also the premiere Doctor Who television performance* of Sir Philip Madoc."
  • WW4 - The Krotons 4, well meaning characters, especially people who are in positions of power, are not long for the world in Doctor Who stories.
  • XX1 - The Seeds of Death 1, Episode One of this story features what might be, at the time, the longest elapsed time before The Doctor appears in the story - 8 minutes, four seconds, by my reckoning (although this mark will be shattered very soon). Two entire settings and plot threads are started up, Osgood, who looks like he's going to be a major character, is introduced and killed before we even see the TARDIS materialize.
Behind the Sofa has Win Doctor Who: The Stuff of Nightmares, "thanks to BBC Audiobooks we have 5 copies to give away."

TachyonTV
"Breaking News: BBC worried that new series of Dr Who isn't camp and frothy enough - an emergency Collinson has been flown in to advise."

David_Tennant

  • "It was a year ago tonight that David Tennant played the RSC Hamlet Press Night in Stratford-Upon-Avon."
  • "In TV Choice mag the look at next week is a photo from Waters Of Mars with "A look at the new season" although WOM isn't due until Nov."
arussell "The new Muse track sounds like Doctor Who. Not sure quite what to make of it."

NovemberDied
"Is very happy to hear ANOTHER new muse track... Doctor Who-y! [Now I've got to go listen to it another million times ^^"
