War Games Review, Behind the Scene's at Torchwood plus a Pick of the Blogs

The TARDIS Scanner has updated the UK TV and Radio Guide for all that 'Whovian' on the box for next week.

TARDIS TV
is now showing 017: The Time Meddler, the TARDIS lands on a beach in England. The Doctor, Vicki and new companion Steven discover a Viking helmet, and deduce they have arrived in the past. Whilst Steven and Vicki scale the cliff, the Doctor opts for a far more gentle path...

Dreamwatch - Total Sci Fi has a review of Doctor Who: The War Games, the final serial for Patrick Troughton’s Second Doctor.

Radio Free Skaro has released #147 - Dancing Doctors and Empty Children, with only Torchwood news to bandy about, the second part of Steven Moffat's epic two-parter from Season 1 took center stage for this episode for a shorthanded RFS staff as they discussed the intricacies of one of the first series' masterpieces while simultaneously avoiding any actual discussion of the episode at hand, as per usual (ed: added to the pods and audio button on the editor's bit).

The Telegraph
has Torchwood: Behind the Scene, James Moran writes scripts for Torchwood (back this week) and Doctor Who. Here he gives an insight into 'the best job in the world'.

Behind the Sofa has Cathode Worded Hotline, "Later on You And Yours we talk to the residents of South Wales, who’ve been unable to use their telephone service for quite some days with vital services being effected.  BT say that they’re doing all they can, but people who’ve contacted us via the internet are furious about the lack of communication they’ve been receiving.  “Not even a phone call” says Roxy from Newport …"

Doctor Who Fansite has Billie and Elizabeth Shook Sci-Fi, two of Doctor Who's best-loved and popular companions have been listed in the Total Sci-Fi website's Top 25 Women Who Shook Sci-Fi.

Life, Doctor Who & Combom has ....
Radio Free Skaro - The Chronic Hysteresis has LL5 - The Evil of the Daleks 5, there's a lovely moment in this episode where The Doctor expresses his pride and admiration of how Jamie performed in the Daleks' tests. I mentioned how The Faceless Ones was really Jamie's coming out party, and this story, even though The Doctor and Jamie are apart for most of it, is the first sign of how strong a pairing the duo makes.

in the Darkling Grove, listening with the trees has a Tardis still growing, "Now you can be shocked with me, at how much more… space… the tree of my Tardis has grown. Stretching herself, pushing herself further out into the infinity of the void… I suppose she must be feeding now on the light, the energy out ..."

The Rift has Suzie of the Dead, a review of Torchwood: They Keep Killing Suzie.

the pen is mightier than the spork (James Moran) has Telegraph article by me, "Just a reminder that tomorrow's Telegraph TV Magazine (it comes with the newspaper) features an article by me, all about the Torchwood Children of Earth writing process, with a few other random digressions. I believe it'll be mentioned on the front cover, which is very exciting."

The Radio 4 Blog has "How about one-and-a-half?" Torchwood on Radio 4.
